He decided to walk away from any responsibility, move 500 miles away and pursue the other woman. She decided to stay with her husband and he expected us, and his wife, to provide the same reconciliation opportunity. I think it is a good idea to articulate one's expectations in writing. This is, however, a heart issue and it's hard to spell out behavioral requirements in an attempt to manage the heart. A tough issue no matter what.
