Hmm, what’s wrong with Christian kids have programs to fit there need and make things out of popsicle sticks? In Pre-school at church, we use the sticks as part of the lesson.

Down south here, when the sopranos sing, we do clap when she hits her mark in the songs. The Psalms do say we need to be skillful in our playing of our instruments, and you can say even our voice.

Actually, yes, you can buy action figures in Islamic bookstores. Here at the Bethel University Library, we subscribe to Islamic Horizons, which is sort of like a Christianity Today for Islam. There are all kinds of VeggieTalesque ads for Islam-friendly action figures. It’s almost funny, if it weren’t so sad.

I thought it was a bit more humerous than you two took it to be, a bit tongue in cheek. I know for a fact there are “Mega-Mosques”, especially in other countries. Additionally, all Buddhist temples are seeker-sensitive, it’s the nature of the Buddhist religion.

It’s more a humerous commentary (IMO) on the less signficant things we frequently get destracted by in our churches here in the West.

I agree with Chris. I’m not sure that any of these practices are wrong (VeggieTales are a staple at my house). But we often get so engulfed in the American Evangelical culture that we forget the message.
